Woop, Woop. We are particularly proud of this one as we were Highly Commended at the BCS 2017 UK IT Industry Awards event in London last week. (Wednesday 15th November).
The award in the category for Mobile App of the Year was in recognition for the Be Food Smart App that was developed in partnership with Public Health England. This app was an evolution of our Sugar Smart app that created a paradigm shift in public attitude toward sugar consumption.
Dogfish Mobile Chief Executive Greig Johnston said:
I’m thrilled for the team that we have been recognised in this way. We are really inspired by the work that we do, to try and make a difference in the world through the solutions that we build
To support Public Health England and their Change4Life campaign has been a real privilege. Knowing that over 95 per cent of Be Food Smart users have made dietary changes as a result using the app and that 77 per cent have seen this as a motivator to switch to healthier alternatives to their usual purchase is a very rewarding outcome
Dogfish Mobile focus on positive changes in behaviour and the use of habit-forming technology throughout their work, and in this case used designs to subtly encourage users to move towards healthier eating options.
